ASAP Launch Conference in Canada

ASAP Launch Conference in Canada

CONFERENCE to mark the launch of ASAP Canada, to engage Canadian themes and audiences.

25-27 October 2012 | Toronto, Canada

Mitu Sengupta, ASAP’s newest Board member, will be taking the lead on behalf of Ryerson University.

One new theme  is the design of smarter incentives for the creation and rapid diffusion of innovations that reduce harmful emissions to which poor and indigenous populations are especially vulnerable. Another new focus is curricular development–the question of how the problem of world poverty can be more fully integrated into a wide range of disciplines at Canadian universities.

The conference will be organized by Luis Cabrera (University of Birmingham), Meena Krishnamurthy (Manitoba),  Thomas Pogge (Yale), Mitu Sengupta (Ryerson) and  Gilad Tanay (Yale).  Noted scholars from all over the globe have already made participation commitments.
